Warlord Diesel C/L Combat Plane - designed by Vernon Hunt

To the right is a photo of a "Warlord" C/L Combat plane designed by Vernon Hunt, powered by a 0.15 PAW (Precision Aero Works) engine. I found this plane to be the easiest plane learn how fly and stunt. When flying over grass, a collision with the ground rarely damages this particular model. It is great for practicing risky maneuvers.

Ever since I was a kid trying to fly "Cox" airplanes and building "Guillows" and "Carl Goldberg" airplanes, I have never found a more easy to build, fly, stunt, and repair after crashes control line (c/l) airplane. The diesel motors clean out very easily and these "Warlord and Vintage Combat" planes are usually ready to fly again within 5 minutes after a full speed dork into a grass field.

One of the things I had in mind when I purchased the Sherline/FlashCut set up is for making parts for this and other classes Control Line Combat airplanes and Model Airplanes. I have made dozens of parts for friends flying C/L Combat.

If you ever get a chance to see and participate in one of these tournaments, I highly recommend it.

I finally inserted some JPEG files of AutoCad drawings of my control line combat plane launcher, (The Seige Gun Stooge, Featured on Page 126 of the AMA publication "Model Aviation, February 1999) which I designed for launching my Warlord Diesel combat plane. Pictures are pasted below. If you would like useable vector drawings of the plans the airplane launcher,

The plans are free and designed for printing on 11 x 17 paper.

Patricchio's Prototypes and anyone associated claim no liability for accidents or misuse of the designs.
