Patricchio's Prototypes - AutoCAD
One primary focus of Patricchio's Prototypes is the
development of rapidly designing and making parts using the Sherline/FlashCut CNC machine
shop. None of this would be possible without nine years of intense experience making
AutoCAD drawings because making good AutoCAD drawings make the CNC process possible.
As a mechanical consulting engineer, I designed and drafted HVAC and Plumbing systems,
concrete walls, foundations, and several steel structures in AutoCAD.
As production mechanical engineer for Bay Shore Systems in Rathdrum, Idaho, I
did the following:
1. Drafted all finished production parts and cutting templates drawings in
setting up the company's inventory system. This included drafting the master parts
page template, assigning parts numbers, part names and associated bills of materials.
2. Drafted all Kanban Card drawings and Kanban Card Index drawings for their
the lean manufacturing system, including the master card templates.
3. Drafted all drawing sets for all production machines.
4. Drafted all promotional drawings for the sales department to prove to our
customers that we could build the particular machine they desired.
5. Drafted all the templates for the MTC Pronest Program which drove
the Esab CNC waterjet/plasma cutter. This generally included making the
CNC cutting programs which cut out all parts on the Esab CNC waterjet/plasma cutter.
I own my own license of AutoCAD Lt for my home business. Which came in handy in
all my past work. Having AutoCAD on my own machine allowed me to draw up any design when
I was away from the office during sick days and off hours.
